Prototyping "gameplay"


To test the basic fun-factor, I did a very quick mock-up in Unity 3D using free assets and placeholder block assets.

I documented the process in the YouTube video attached to this post, where I very quickly figured out that it wouldn't be fun in its most basic form.

Given time, I guess more stuff could be added to make the game fun:

  • An umbrella that saves you from a few puppy hits, but attracts lightning
  • A "Saviour" mode where you run around with a net and have to save puppies
  • Some sort of "shove" or "trip" in multiplayer mode

I don't expect anyone to enjoy this, but I really learnt a lot in the process, so many tools and techniques.
